Gnosis in spiritual language
In spiritual and religious settings, gnosis often refers to a kind of direct, experiential knowing rather than secondhand information. The exact meaning changes across traditions, so context matters.
Not the same as certainty
Experiential conviction can feel powerful, but spiritual gnosis should not automatically be treated as proof about history, science, or another person. Reflection is strongest when paired with humility and discernment.
A practical modern reading
In a modern personal-development context, gnosis can be understood as insight that changes how you live. If an idea never affects behavior, relationships, boundaries, or choices, it may remain only information.
Where Lit Gnosis fits
Lit Gnosis uses the language of gnosis as a contemporary philosophy of self-knowledge, awareness, intentional living, and turning insight into practice. It is not a claim to represent ancient Gnosticism.
